Hello and Welcome or Welcome Back to Let Love Glow.

This week we're focusing on Spiritual Humor.

After the darkness we've experienced this past week, we can sooo use love, light and laughter. Humor truly is one of the great healers of our universe, and I'm honored to share a few of my favorite lol gems with you.

In my bestselling book I AM GOOD ENOUGH, I devote an entire chapter to Spiritual Humor.

Here's a Sneak Peek straight from the book:

One thing that's always worked for me is to surround myself with images and objects that make my spirit laugh and dance like nobody's watching. Oh, I enjoy a lot of the things that you might expect a spiritual seeker to delight in, such as beautiful crystals and stones, sculptures and paintings of great enlightened beings like Buddha and Jesus, candles and incense, pyramids and singing bowls, too. But my favorite thing and best spiritual medicine, if you will, is my laugh out loud collection of Bitchy Signs.

Bitchy Signs are spiritual?!

You betchya!

It's perfectly wonderful and therapeutic for a spiritually-awakened person to maintain a sense of humor. Spiritual matters are not always somber and serious. Remember the joy element that we're encouraged to find and live? Well...Humor is a great way to stay in joy.

“Spirituality ought to be about enjoying life to the fullest while still deeply pondering its vast mysteries and being of service to others. Humor indicates there's a cheerful optimism at the basis of our worldview. It's even been found to positively affect our metabolisms, ranging from how our brain wiring works to our immune function, digestion and so forth.” --- Rev. Dr. Jesse Jennings, Senior Minister of the Creative Life Spiritual Center in Houston

That doesn't mean that we're cruel to others in the humor we use. We know in our hearts what our intentions are, regardless of whether or not we're attempting to cloak ill will in laughs and giggles.

By the same token, Dr. Jennings says, self-depracating humor "can keep us humble and honest, as well as hugely entertain listeners."

Humor is one of my favorite tools for spiritual awakening. There's nothing like a little cosmic humor to put the heavy aspects of our journey into perspective. I spend quality time surfing the internet, especially on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook, and I've found fabulous laugh out loud jewels that I'll share with you throughout the week.

So...let's have some fun. Let's bring light, love and laughter back into our world.

As always...Hugs, Love and Namaste --- D. D.

P.S. Be sure to join us on our Let Love Glow Facebook Page where I'll be posting my fave bits of spiritual humor all week long!
