Wavin' atchya Let Love Glow Writing Friends!
When I wrote my first manuscript almost twenty years ago, I didn't know a thing about writing a book. I'd never studied anything about the craft of writing. I just had all of these story ideas and tried to get them onto paper.
I'd never heard of finding my voice, hooking a reader, point of view, GMC (goal, motivation and conflict), the EDITS System and mythic structure, to mention just a few of the wonderful craft tools that can really help you make your manuscript sparkle.
***Note: And all of these tools are useful whether you're writing fiction or non-fiction.

I learned these tools by reading the following writing craft books, and taking classes (online and live) from many of the authors mentioned:
The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron
Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable by Seth Godin
Finding Your Voice: How To Put Personality in Your Writing by Les Edgerton
The Power of Point of View: Make Your Story Come to Life by Alicia Rasley
GMC: Goal, Motivation and Conflict by Debra Dixon
The Writers Journey: Mythic Structure for Writers by Christopher Vogler
EDITS System by Margie Lawson
All of these wonderful, must-read books are available on Amazon, except for Margie Lawson's EDITS System which is available as lecture packets and online classes at www.margielawson.com (I can't recommend Margie's packets and classes enough! She's a fantastic teacher!)
